HR Director – VP Career Opportunity

Johannesburg or Amsterdam & Global

We are supporting a client with a retained search & selection campaign for an organisation in the digital technology & innovation domain with consumers in Africa.  A global USA originated expanding SME, who literally transform lives with their products and services.

The role will commence in Tanzania for 3 months before opening and moving to Johannesburg, South Africa.  Maybe you live in Africa, London, Amsterdam or another global city… we believe this is worth relocating for, as long as you have previous African HR experience and rapidly scaling less immediately known brands within your career history.  It may be possible for the role to be based from Amsterdam though SA is the primary focus.

Key aspects to the VP HR role and therefor your profile will clearly fit:

  • Global HR Strategy & Organisational Design
  • At least 1 lesser known brand that you lead to scale up and rapidly grow
  • Leadership and management of a small to medium size HR team
  • Ability to be hands on where appropriate and lead by example
  • Senior management team structure
  • Talent Attraction & Selection (significant expansion ahead)
  • Talent Management, Performance, L&D, Career and Succession Planning
